Understanding Student Record and Privacy Laws
Student records are governed by a complicated set of state and federal laws and regulations. Violations of these laws and regs can lead to expensive and time-consuming lawsuits.
This in depth workshop focuses on all aspects of handling and maintaining student records. Specific topics include: safeguarding and maintenance of temporary and permanent records, release of information, dealing with divorced parents, responding to a subpoena and record destruction. Questions are encouraged.
